Generate API key
From Zinc, sign in or create an account. From the account > company tab click "Generate API key" and message Greenhouse support asking them to add the API key to your account.

Customise your checks
Decide with your Zinc account manager which background checks you'd like to conduct and customise any reference questions. You can create multiple packages which you can access from Greenhouse.

Add to interview plan
Place Zinc at the point you want to background check your candidates. Choose ‘Add a stage’ and select ’Automated Reference with Zinc’.

Send request
On your candidate profile click “Automated Reference with Zinc” and click ‘Send Test’. Remember to let your candidate know that Zinc is your checking provider and to look out for a message from us.

Let Zinc work
Zinc will contact your candidate via email and text, asking them to complete the background checks you have chosen. We send automated reminders to ensure that you get your checks in good time.
Track the progress
View the current status of the checks for each candidate in your ATS. We will notify you via email when an individual check has been completed.
