What checks can Zinc run in the UAE?
Zinc runs two UAE-specific checks: a Criminal Record Check and a Credit Judgment & Litigation Check.
Both checks are sourced via the UAE Ministry of Interior and cover travel bans registered against a candidate: criminal (e.g. fraud, bounced cheques) for the former, financial/court judgment for the latter.
Does Zinc work across all the Emirates, or just Dubai and Abu Dhabi?
Zinc's UAE checks are nationwide, covering all Emirates and free zones, not limited to Dubai or Abu Dhabi. We offer this in addition to agnostic checks like directorship and references.

What does a UAE criminal history check cover?
Zinc's UAE criminal history check covers travel bans tied to pending or closed criminal cases, such as fraud, bounced cheques, or more serious offences, with up to a seven-year lookback. The UAE’s criminal check requires consent under Federal Decree-Law No. 45/2021 (PDPL).
How far back do UAE criminal checks go?
Zinc's UAE Criminal Record Check includes cases from up to seven years ago. The exact window depends on the legal prescription and rehabilitation periods that apply to each type of conviction under UAE regulations
