Generate API key
Log into your Zinc account and generate your API token. Copy and paste your token into Vanta, and click “Connect Zinc”. Once this step is completed, information begins flowing between products.

Connect Zinc in Vanta
Once you are authenticated into Vanta, navigate to the integrations page, locate Zinc - either by typing “Zinc” in the search bar or within the “Background checkers” -, and click “Connect”. You will be prompted to enter your API token.

See your checks
You can confirm that background checks are being completed by either navigating to the “People” page, clicking on an employee, and viewing “Completed Tasks”.

Zinc will contact your candidate via email and text, asking them to complete the background checks you have chosen. We send automated reminders to ensure that you get your checks in good time.
