How it works

Request integration

Search for Zinc in the SmartRecruiters Marketplace. Click ‘Get Started’ and complete the details. SmartRecruiters will provide you with an API key to add to your Zinc account.

Add API key

In Zinc, click on your name in the bottom left of the account. After you've added payment details, you'll see a Company tab, scroll to "Add API key", then paste in your SmartRecruiters key.

Work with your Zinc account manager to decide which reference and background checks are best for your business. You can customise your check packages at any point.

Request checks

Request individual candidate references by going to ‘Reference Check’ under Assessments and selecting Zinc. Alternatively, automate your reference checks from an account level in the configuration settings.

What happens next

Let Zinc work
Zinc will contact your candidate via email and text, asking them to complete the background checks you have chosen. We send automated reminders to ensure that you get your checks in good time.
Track the progress
View the current status of the checks for each candidate in your ATS. We will notify you via email when an individual check has been completed.
View insights
View your candidate reports directly from your ATS. Enabling better hiring decisions without leaving your ATS or HRIS.
