Zinc is excited to announce our newest product update: Okta Single Sign-on! This new feature enables users to sign in to their Zinc account using their existing Okta credentials, making it easier and more convenient than ever to access all of their Zinc content in one place.
The business world is increasingly complex and interconnected, making it essential for employees to have access to a variety of applications and services. Single sign-on (SSO) provides a convenient and secure way for users to access the resources they need while also reducing the risk of data breaches. As the number of organisations adopting SSO continues to grow, it's clear that this technology is here to stay.
What is Okta?
Okta's app integrations provide end users with a seamless authentication experience by using Single Sign-On (SSO). After end users sign in to Okta, they can launch any of their assigned app integrations to access external applications and services without re-entering their credentials.
This not only saves end users time and frustration, but it also increases security by reducing the chances of passwords being compromised.
User access auditing is a critical part of maintaining compliance with security standards. However, it can be a time-consuming and difficult process. Okta's user access auditing features simplify this process by providing real-time data and pre-built reports. This allows IT to quickly identify and address any potential security risks. In addition, the data is shareable, so it can be easily synchronized with SIEMs or downloaded as a CSV.
How to get set up?
Zinc's integration with Okta allows your company to manage its Zinc account using Okta's Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities.

Benefits of Okta SSO
Convenience: SSO allows users to access all the applications and services they need with a single set of credentials. This eliminates the need to remember multiple usernames and passwords, saving users time and frustration. In addition, SSO provides a consistent user experience across all applications, making it easier for users to navigate between them.
Security: By consolidating login information into one central location, SSO reduces the risk of data breaches caused by lost or stolen passwords. In addition, SSO can help organisations comply with data privacy regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Improved productivity: When users can access the resources they need quickly and easily, they're more productive. In addition, employees waste less time trying to troubleshoot login issues, freeing up IT staff to work on other projects.
Reduced IT costs: Single sign-on can help organisations save money by reducing the number of support calls related to password resets and other login issues. In addition, SSO can simplify IT administration by reducing the number of "moving parts" in your organisation's identity management infrastructure. Overall, SSO provides a number of security advantages that make it an essential tool for organisations looking to protect their data. By reducing password fatigue and eliminating the possibility of credential reuse, SSO helps to keep end users safe and organisations secure.
