BambooHR and Zinc integration
With our BambooHR integration you can easily store background checking reports against candidate profiles, saving you time and admin downloading results.
How it works
Navigate to CustomFields in BambooHR
From the BambooHR home page select Settings >Custom Fields. A list of existing custom fields appears.
Create custom fields
In this next step you must add all relevant Zinc fields. You can add a new field by selecting + New Custom Field in the top left corner next to Category fields and entering Field Name and Type. Select Optional for all these fields. These fields can be saved in the Job Employee Profile Tab under the Job section. Confirm by clicking Save at the bottom left corner.
It is important you add the fields with the exact field names and types listed below otherwise the integration will not work. The type of the field is indicated in brackets next to the field name i.e. (text).
- Zinc Status (short answer)
- Zinc Date of check (date)
- Zinc Type of check (short answer)
- Zinc Report link (short answer)
Only add the following fields if you are conducting RTW checks.
- Zinc RTW Document Expiry (short answer)
- Zinc Document Type (short answer)
- Zinc Nationality or Share code (short answer)
- Zinc RTW Status (short answer)
Note: Completed Zinc reports are uploaded to the candidate Documents tab under Zinc Background Checks.
Authenticate Zinc
Enter BambooHR company domain.
Paste this link in your browser: https://app.zincwork.com/setup/bamboohr and in the text box enter your bamboo domain (the “yourcompany” in “https://yourcompany.bamboohr.com/”).
Connect accounts
Click “Authorise” and sign in to BambooHR if required. Once confirmed you’ll get immediate confirmation that the integration has been added.
