Zinc Workday Integration

Zinc’s Workday integration allows recruiters to start new background checks from Workday. You can trigger these checks without lifting a finger by setting them to start once the candidate is at the relevant stage of the hiring process. 

Zinc will update Workday with progress tags as the candidate progresses through their checks. We will send Workday a link to the candidate report once the checks are complete, as well as a copy of the report PDF. The link and PDF report will have all the documents attached you need to store from the checks such as proof of right-to-work documents. 

What you’ll need:

- A Zinc account

 A workday account

Your Workday API key 

If you use Workday and Zinc here are the steps to get setup:

Set-up

  1. Head to your Zinc account and access the Integrations tab on the “Your company” page.
  2. There is a button to request a Workday integration. Pressing this will send a message to team Zinc, and within 1-2 hours, you’ll have a Workday integration link in your email inbox.

Note: If for any reason you’ve not received your link, please get in touch so we can solve the issue right away.

  1. When you click the link, you’ll be prompted to provide your Workday API key as well as the interview stage you’d like to start your checks from.
  2. Select “full access” on the API key and submit the form.
  3. Once these steps are complete, the Zinc team will connect the integration and notify you when complete. 
  4. From there, the next time you move a candidate to your defined background check trigger stage in Workday, the applicant will be automatically assigned the relevant checks within Zinc, without you having to lift a finger.

Now that you’ve connected Zinc with Workday, the process of starting and tracking background checks is seamless and automated. Enjoy the time saved and improved accuracy of your background checks!

Notes: The integration will use the first check package in your Zinc account by default. To specify certain checks for candidates applying the tag on the package edit view.
